Calanda has been telling stories since she was a child. Encouraged by her elementary school teacher, she began writing at an early age and was selected each year to represent her school at the Young Authors Conference at the University of Alabama. In middle school, she and her classmate, Jacquelyn, spent countless hours creating short stories together, strengthening a passion for storytelling that would continue into adulthood.

Over the years, Calanda has written short stories, a stage play, and a screenplay before turning her focus to novels. She enjoys crafting stories that blend mystery, romance, family, and the complexities of human relationships, creating characters readers can connect with long after the final page.

Her published work includes A Southern Family's Secret, with additional novels currently in development. Through every story she writes, Calanda hopes to entertain readers while exploring themes of love, resilience, family, and the secrets that shape our lives.

When she's not writing, Calanda enjoys reading, discovering new ideas, and spending time with her family.
